In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the study of mathematics reading ability. How to read the mathematics content is one of the challenges for high school students? On the other hand, it is worth thinking about the influence of mathematics reading. The author uses the theory of Herman Witkin, and uses the GEFT test of the selected sample of 300 students. This test is produced by Herman Witkin. The cognitive style of the individual in the sample is determined by the score. Then, the author uses the PISA test to measure the students’ reading ability and use the descriptive statistical method of SPSS software to classify the cognitive style of subjects, use the PISA test questions to get the reading performance of each person, collecting the relevant data through the collection of the surface traces.By using the difference analysis function of SPSS software, the relationship between different cognitive styles and reading ability, and the difference of cognitive styles between different genders were studied. At home and abroad there are many between cognitive style and learning effect on the correlation research, but for the correlation between the levels of cognitive style of mathematics reading is relatively less, and the conclusion is not exactly the same. Therefore, the author hopes that through this research, more accurately, to understand how the effects caused by different cognitive styles of different reading strategies on reading ability, so as to guide teaching. The purpose of this paper is to investigate and understand the following questions:1. How about the distribution of cognitive style in senior high school students?1. Are Boys more field-independence?2. How do students with different cognitive styles read?3. Do students with different cognitive styles have a significant difference in their reading ability? The subjects are 300 students from a junior high school in Hefei city. The sample include 165 boys and 135 girls. These students took part in GEFT, a mathematical reading strategy questionnaire and a mathematical reading ability test. When they were tested on the embedded graphics, the author tried to divide the cognitive style of the tested students into three categories, field independent cognitive style, field dependent cognitive style and mixed cognitive style. The author analysed of different cognitive styles of mathematical reading strategies. Draw the following conclusion:1. The test score of GEFT is shown as the normal distribution.2. In comparison to the cognitive style and reading ability test scores, found that there is a certain relationship between the two. Although it is distributed among the students with different cognitive styles, in the three cognitive styles, the mixed recognition3. In the three cognitive styles, the students of the mixed cognitive style are the best students in the mathematical reading. And they can be more reasonable and effective use of mathematical reading strategies.4. Different cognitive styles have a certain influence on the reading ability of mathematics.Know the style of the students do reading speed and average scores have certain advantages.
