Research On Construction And Operating Model Of Excellent Teaching Team In University

Team, as an academic conception, originally comes form enterprises, but with the social and economic development, research on team has transcended the field of enterprise management. In universities, the teaching model operating on groups plays a significant role in the improvement of teaching quality. Sufficient attention had been given to the research of teaching teams, yet the construction of excellent teaching teams in universities still has a long way to go. The paper, based upon the theoretical research and investigation of the current situation of teaching teams, analyzes and approaches the issues, and then puts forward proposals of the construction and operation of excellent teaching teams.First, the paper briefly describes the conceptions related to teaching teams of colleges as well as constructs the theoretical framework of teaching teams. The paper will introduces the study of team management and organization behavior into academic fields to provide theoretical basis for the construction of teaching teams.Second, the paper employs qualitative and quantitative research methods. A survey will be conducted by the means of questionnaire in eight universities. 200 questionnaires will be extended and investigated by qualitative method according to the statistical principle. The author will have an exchange with the stuff from the department of teaching affairs and analyze the current situation and the issues of the construction of colleges.Third, based upon previous theoretical research and empirical research, the author puts forward proposals for the construction and operating models of the excellent teaching groups in universities. The author argues that the present teaching groups in colleges are set up based on the basis of former question for study groups or teaching and studying group. A majority of them are confined in the same discipline in the same university. Problems such as the lack of interdisciplinary characteristic and weakness of the construction of teaching groups still exist. We use theory of team, theory of motivation, theory of leadership in organization behavior study, on the basis of the induction and summarization of the 100 teaching groups of national level selected by the Ministry of Education in 2007, I will put forward the construction and operating model of excellent teaching groups in colleges and universities.
