Based On analysis of related academic researches, both domestic and abroad, this paper explores the structure of perceived barriers in masters' employment through face-to-face interviews and questionnaire survey among postgraduates. At the same time, the status quo of perceived barriers in masters' employment is also studied through homemade questionnaire. In order to reveal the structure and mechanism of perceived barriers in postgraduates' employment clearer, the researcher explores the relationship between perceived barriers in postgraduates' employment and professional maturity and locus of control in a further step by studies on the relevant analysis and regression analysis. Conclusions are made as follows:first, Through factor analysis, perceived barriers in postgraduates' employment is a stage within six factors, which are the employment situation, the knowledge of vocation and self, external support factor, personality factor, the basic conditions and job experience factor.Second, the homemade questionnaire, namely Inventory of Masters' Perceived Barriers in Employment, is an instrument with good reliability and validity.Third, perceived barriers in employment are big for postgraduates in school. In six factors, the employment situation is the biggest barrier.Fourth, there exist significant gender differences in perceived barriers in postgraduates' employment. As a whole, the female perceive more barriers.Fifth, the significant differences of perceived barriers in postgraduates' employment are found in relate to the father's education background. The postgraduates whose fathers only have high school or the vocational secondary school diplomas perceive more barriers.Sixth, there is a significant negative correlation between perceived barriers in masters' employment and professional maturity. The higher professional maturity is, the lower the perceived barriers are, and vice versa.Seventh, the relationship between perceived barriers in masters' employment and locus ofcontrol also appears to be negatively correlated. The postgraduates who are more external control, experience more perceived barriers in employment, and vice versa.
