Research On The Quality Administration Of Graduate Dissertations

Dissertation is an important indicator to measure the quality of postgraduate training and the quality improvement of graduate theses makes it necessary to strengthen the management process. Taking the quality of Master's degree dissertations of fulltime MA graduates in English in Ningbo University as the object of the research, this paper explores the existing management problems in the course of completion of MA dissertation writing by way of questionnaires, interviews, archives and other specific research methods and proposes establishing a whole process of quality management concepts, quality management system from the report, the medium-term inspection, paper review and defense to excellent paper review, hoping to strengthen management and system innovation, to establish and perfect graduate thesis report system, medium-term inspection system, review and defence systems, and outstanding graduate thesis assessment system, so as to effectively promote and safeguard the quality of graduate thesis. This paper consists of four parts.Chapter One describes the background and purpose of choosing the topic. In this chapter we have analyzed the urgency of strengthening the quality management of post-graduate degree thesis, summed up the relevant research results at home and abroad, identified the research questions, namely the deficiencies of the quality of postgraduate degree thesis, pointed out to further strengthen postgraduate degree thesis quality management.Chapter Two is a case study of the postgraduate degree thesis quality of N University English majors. We have conducted surveys, interviews, archival research on the status of postgraduate degree thesis work, and at the same time, reviewed the process management information on graduate thesis work in recent years: "investigation on master's degree thesis work", "post-graduate degree thesis Mid-Inspectation"," report", "expert review Book ".Chapter Three is survey on the current status of quality management of postgraduate degree theses, intending to understand the quality of post-graduate degree thesis, its management deficiencies and causes: graduate students, instructors and management mechanism.Chapter Four deals with the existing problems among the management, tutors, graduate students in the process of graduate theses writing. We proposed in this chapter the establishment of whole process quality management and quality management system in graduate theses writing, so as to effectively promote and safeguard the quality of graduate theses. To follow foreign first-class university model, we propose building elimination mechanism.
