Students in different grades differ in different levels of representation. in different levels of representation, According to the study, we think that with the grade higher and the knowledge accumulated, students' concepts on basic electrochemical items change. students in lower grades haven't paid enough attention to the representation of the natural features of the items.Solving the problem is an important part in the students'cognitive process, also an important manifestation of the students' cognition on the items. Therefore, the paper focus on the empirical research in the application of electrochemical items. Through the analysis on the test results, we found that obvious diversity lies in the item application to solve problem among the students in three grades. The higher the grades are , the higher the level of the students' electrochemical item application is. The senior students in college have got a profound cogonition on the relationship among the items. When applicating the items to solve problems, they can be effective to take out such knowledge.
