Abstract/Summary:
Deepening the reform of education evaluation in the new era is a major issue for the high-quality development of China’s education, and it is also a key area that urgently needs to be broken through in China’s educational reform and development.Cognitive diagnostic assessment has emerged as a new form of testing, which is based on cognitive psychology and combined with modern measurement, aiming to explore the underlying cognitive processes and cognitive structures of humans in specific domains, providing personalized specific evaluation information. At present, the research results of using a variety of cognitive diagnosis models to measure the cognitive structure of students’ abstract concepts in science are abundant, but the evaluation research in the field of chemistry education has less transfer and application of new cognitive diagnosis models. Therefore, the transfer R-DINA diagnostic model evaluates the cognitive structure and mastery level of students’ electrochemical concepts,so as to enrich the practice of teaching evaluation and provide reference for teaching. This study is guided by Cognitive Diagnosis Evaluation Theory and R-DINA model, and the cognitive level of students in the learning of related concepts of electrochemistry topics in high school is diagnosed, and text analysis and Q matrix are used to define the cognitive attributes of the concept of "electrochemistry" and the hierarchical relationship between each attribute. Then, the evaluation tool is developed to verify and improve the reliability and validity of the tool through pre-testing.On this basis, the cognitive diagnosis assessment of "electrochemistry" theme is carried out.The R language self-programmed program of the R-DINA model is used to calculate and transform the students’ initial data to obtain effective information such as patterns and probabilities mastered by attributes.Combined with the data, the mastery and differences of different grades, genders and individual students in the content of the topic were compared and analyzed. The following conclusions are obtained:(1)The concept of electrochemistry contains six cognitive attributes, namely galvanic cells, electrolytic cells, redox reactions, electrode reactions, chemical power supplies and metal corrosion and protection. Its attribute hierarchy is a hybrid structure composed of branching type and convergent type;(2)The attribute mode of electrochemical concept of senior three students was significantly better than that of senior two students;(3)Only girls in the third grade of high school were slightly better than boys in mastering attribute A4(electrode response),and there was no difference in other attributes;(4)The probability of attribute mastery based on the R-DINA model can accurately characterize the knowledge state and actual situation of students, especially the difference between students who have mastered the attribute part and students who have not mastered it.In conclusion, cognitive diagnosis based on R-DINA model has good applicability in the measurement of chemical disciplines. At the same time,it is also found that there are still some shortcomings in this study: the rationality verification method of attributes and hierarchical relationships is single, and the research variables are not rich enough.Follow-up research can improve and improve in various ways to verify attributes and hierarchical relationships, and enrich the types of question types of the prepared test papers.
