The fundamental nature of the Chinese language is the unity of its language tools function and humanities disciplines,which decides that Chinese language education not only has the function of transfering language knowledge ,cultivating language proficiency, developing students'intellectual, and other functions, but also shouldering a duty to train students to become the community's new generation of great responsibility. Therefore, it should first and foremost be the education of being a human. However, in the development of the language education the people practising the education blindly and one-sided emphasis on language education in social values and social function but neglect the function of the language education,educating people. In order to adapt to the political class and social needs and values,ignoring the existence of the subject of the people seriously depressed person's overall development. Therefore, the function of the Language Education,educating people,doesn't promote the comprehensive development of people, but only a political tool and a means of moralizing. As a way to train people, the language e ducational function did not play a due role, but to some extent hindered the people in a comprehensive and free development, leading to personality distortion and alienation of human nature.At present, with the further development of society and the continuous progress of the education reform, a new educational concept gradually been accepted by people and its basic connotation is that education should be "people-oriented" and find the value of human beings to explore the potentiality of the human and develop people's personality, and to show the power of people.The function of Language Education concerns on the of humanity, from the past narrow one, "The Road reunification," and "in language teaching and carry out ideological education," to the expansion of human values, potential, personality and strength of the entire domain reflection. A reflection in the language education is that Language Teaching should be "people-oriented" and achieve the three-dimensional integration, "knowledge and ability, process and method, emotional attitude values". In the language teaching we emphasis on humanity education and comprehensive education. What is the necessity of implementating the educational function of Chinese language in the teaching process. And how to educate people in the history of Chinese teaching? How to realise this educational function in the teaching? This is what we must face and the bottleneck of the practice and cognitive. Breaking it, a practice operation will follow the trail.This article from the significance of human nature, gives us some suggestion that how can we improve and perfect Educational Function of the Chinese language, in the current another transition period of Chinese education by analyzing the necessity of adhering the Chinese language educational function, combing the purposes of education and typical concepts of educating people in various periods over the years, summing up the inadequacy of the past concepts of educating people and analyzing the causes.
