On College Volunteers' Management From The Perspective Of Public Governance

College volunteers, whose service is becoming increasingly significant during the development of society, are the most important and special human resource of non-profit organizations. However, traditional managerial concept fails to meet the demands of rapidly developing college volunteer organizations which leads to the requirement of a new theoretical framework and managerial pattern.Based on a sound analysis of the current situation of college volunteers' management, this paper tries to uncover the existing problems, find out the reasons, analyze the feasibility of applying the new findings of governance theory to college volunteers' management, and put forward a tentative pattern, namely, seeking for the strain between heteronomy and self-discipline, striking the balance between service consciousness and utilitarian, unifying the responsibility system and incentive system, combining the site-oriented management and project-oriented management, and striving to realize the integration of "materialism" management and "humanism" management.
