A Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Health Promotion In Primary And Secondary Schools In Wuhan

The efficient implementing of schools' health promotion is the key to guarantee students' well-being growth and cultivate versatile talents. There are a variety of primary and secondary schools in Wuhan, and the city is in the middle of China and occupy an important geographical position, so Wuhan has a significant influence comparing to other cities in China. The developing status of middle and primary schools is different and students' health education is neglected for several years. Therefore, the students and teachers' health level is quite low. These situation conflicts with the aim of cultivating and talent selection of schools, moreover, it is not good for these schools' developing and the construction of Chinese harmonious society. So making investigation and analysis on the implementing current status of schools' health promotion is the basis for related policy formulation for education administrators. Meanwhile, it is good for the change of educational ideas of the school leaders, and improves the recognition of the purpose and meaning of health promotion. So as to the school leaders could bring school health promotion into the agenda of schools. Theoretically promoting the perfection of school health promotion model and make reference for the implementation for the masses' health promotion.The study based on policy supporting, personnel training, financial aid and people's supporting, etc. Interview and questionnaires were made to investigate the current situation of school health promotion of primary and secondary schools in Wuhan. The results are as follows:1. Most of the school leaders assume that school health promotion is an important part for school, however, the health promotion do not bring into effect under sorts of the pressures.2. There are students of 78.8% consider that school have paid great attention to their body exercises and health knowledge propaganda.3. 14 leaders and 52 teachers hold that school health promotion need the support of family and society. Meanwhile, 107 students think that their parents' concern extent about their body and psychological is not enough.4. Both the school leaders and scholars suggest that we should encourage students' parents joining in the health promotion and also rely on the support of society.5. There are teachers of 10.1% and students of 9.6% who don't make good evaluation on school environmental condition.In the end, the paper puts forward four suggestions on health promotion of primary and secondary schools in Wuhan from actual conditions.1. Carry on comprehensive school health education.2. Taking great importance on the positive function of school-family-society model.3. Strengthen the personnel training.4. Education administrators should organize special workers to investigate the health promotion measures, implementing situation and the problems of the primary and secondary schools. And information storage, assessment criteria and feedback should be done, meanwhile, coordinating the work of health promotion related departments.
