Based on the importance of scientific literacy to the development of individual and nation, senior chemistry education focus its aim on promoting the students' scientist literacy, this requires us to reorganize the contents of teaching and change the method of teaching, while adjoining life and society of middle school chemistry teaching is one of the most efficient ways of carrying out scientific literacy education. It plays an irreplaceable part in raising the students' scientific literacy and improving the all-aspects development. Chemistry is a kind of science, which is closely connected with the life world. The "Exploring from the life world into the world of chemistry and the exploring from the world of chemistry into the life world" is such a discipline, which is very much related with the life. In teaching practice, teachers are accustomed to paying more attention to chemistry first, life second, that is, they teach students chemistry knowledge first, then guide them to apply it in the life world from the knowledge they have learned. But they pay less attention to explore from the life world into the world of chemistry. The problem exists in the educational beliefs and doubt they hold. This thesis puts forward the idea of middle school chemistry teaching being closely related with the social life world based on the belief that chemistry is part of life.The thesis uses documentary methods, questionnaires, and teaching studies. Based on John Dewey's "education is life" and Xingzhi Tao's "life education" and the theories of constructivism, we have elaborate the background and intention of the thesis. By comparing the research development and actuality in our nation and overseas, we find it is necessary to study this thesis. In adjoining life and society of chemistry teaching, the paper point out which chapter has a close relation to our life and society, elaborate it's plan and offer some teaching case. In teaching experiment result and analysis, the paper test the research effect by questionnaires and make out the analysis. At last, in issue and discussion, the paper point out some problems in research and teacher's perplexity, table a proposal of new evaluation. In the same time, the paper summarize the study.
