To push the reform of curriculum on, we try our utmost to cultivate the quality of science in the teaching process, especially in chemistry, the subject of junior middle school. The thesis expounds that the necessity and the connotation of scientific literacy. Then it analyzes that teachers play an important role in the scientific literacy advanced. Due to these reasons, teachers require to enhance the basic quality of teaching, to master the essence of the new materials, and to practice scientifically which be guided by the theory of teaching. By the way, it also absorbs the cream of practicing, explores the teaching principle of new subject of junior chemistry teaching, and discusses how to improve the approach of chemistry teaching, which aims to upgrade the scientific literacy of junior students.
