Through case studies and action research, the paper probes into the effective teaching of physics for middle school under the new curriculum, with the focus on the effective usage of the teaching materials, effective teaching activities, effective teaching management and the effective combination of teaching resources and classroom teaching.In chapter two, through literature review, the author reviewed the basic theories concerning this topic, materials of applied theories, mainly focusing on the research and interpretation of the New Physics Curriculum Standards and the theory of effective teaching; made research and interpretation from five aspects concerning the nature of this course, according to the elaboration of the course value stated in the New Physics Curriculum Standards and specific teaching cases and materials; made in-depth analysis of the course concepts by specific teaching materials and cases.Chapter three mainly probed into the effectiveness of the teaching process of middle school physics teaching though action research and case studies, such as teaching diaries, teaching cases, teaching reflection etc., discussing the effective usage of teaching materials, classroom teaching, classroom management respectively. For the usage of the teaching materials, this paper focused on three aspects—the reorganization and choice of the teaching materials, the treatment of situational questions in the text book and the treatment of the experiments in the text book. In terms of the classroom teaching, the author led research into the classroom questions, classroom discussions and classroom management and conducted reasoning through some specific teaching cases and teaching discussion with regard to the teaching practice.In chapter four, the author explored the external factors—teaching resources—that influence teaching and probed into the effectiveness of the combination of teaching resources and classroom teaching. The focus of this chapter is the research of the effective usage of resources, experimental resources and IT resources in the physics classroom teaching.
