The Study On Rural Local Curriculum

Local curriculum is entering people's horizons since the New Curriculum Reform, and it also establish the role and status in the curriculum system. In theory, local curriculum plays the important role in the development of social and students. However, in practice, local curriculum in rural areas is not very smoothly, there are some difficulties such as the curriculum idea of people, the quality of rural teacher etc. this requires more efforts from us, the experts should develop the local curriculum which according to the practical place. and with the help of measures of educational government in order to practice local curriculum smoothly and play the role and value of it really in rural areas.This paper according to the important role of local curriculum in the development of local social and students, and combined the case study, analysis the problems of rural local curriculum and all kinds of reasons, and try to advise the ideas of reform and development.The organization of the thesis is as followings:Introduction: summary of the reasons of the present study, the content of study and research methodology and the significance of study.Part one: a general introduction to the theory of local curriculum, including some relevant defined concept, the experience of local curriculum from overseas and the evolution of our local curriculum, the characters and functions of local curriculum.Part two: the necessity and possibility of rural local curriculum. the necessity from the progress of rural areas and development of students, the possibility from the government pay more attention on rural education and rural areas and there are some progress in theory and practice of local curriculum.Part three: analysis the situation of rural local curriculum from ZZ middle school.Part four: analysis the problems in rural local curriculum and the various factors.Part five: based on the analyses of above parts, suggest some advice which can promote the development of rural local curriculum.
