With the rapid development of science and technology, we had being in the information science. In this science, people must have complex abilities, and information literacy is necessary. Nowadays, every country all around the world have emphasized on this. In higher vocational education, we face the same problem. Should we begin our information literacy education? What is the situation of our students'information literacy? How should we it effectively? In our country, research on this is not very comprehensive, and this is the meaning of this paper.This paper analysis and research the information literacy education by several research methods. The main contents as follows: Firstly, sum up the theory of information literacy education in high vocational education school, such as the concepts and meaning; secondly, the author had a survey about the situation of students' information literacy, and analysis the problems; thirdly, by searching the materials and paper abroad , the author studied the situation of information literacy in high vocational education of American, and summarized their valuable experiences ; lastly , based on all the above work, the author put forward a series of methods on how to improve the students' information literacy. For example, boost the understanding the importance of information literacy, add the investment, prove the teachers' ability, optimized the study environment and so on.I wish all these contents can help the teachers who need the theories and methods about the information literacy in higher vocational educational schools.
