Along with unceasing expansion scale of running school in vocational colleges and universities, the role of counselor in the students' grows and developments has become increasingly appear. Many vocational colleges and universities start to pay attention to and have begun to actively explore the building of counselor troop.This research selects nine vocational colleges and universities as a research object in the middle, south, and north area of Jiangsu Province. In the form of a questionnaire, investigation analysis has been carry out on the basic situation of the nine vocational colleges and universities, mainly including counselor's outfit and source, schooling record and professional requirements, position establishment and responsibility, income and position attraction. In the nine vocational colleges and universities, some of the counselors, teachers, administrators and students are selected to carry on the investigation analysis. Through SPSS14.0, a focused analysis has been carried out upon the effective questionnaires. The analysis centers on the counselor's age level, schooling record level, income situation of the nine vocational colleges and universities. Correlation analysis has been carried out on the counselor' community income with each variable, including correlation analysis on working seniority and age and correlation analysis on income and the nature of the contract and so on. Based on the questionnaire, the present situation of the counselor' work in the nine vocational colleges and universities has been presented. At the same time, the situation of counselor troop building in a certain vocational college among the nine vocational colleges and universities has been taken as a case, and been conducted in-depth analysis and study, which is mainly to present and analyze the situation of counselor troop building from 2003 to 2007 in a certain vocational college, including the situation of counselor's outfit, transfer, the reason of transfer as well as the main measures of strengthening the building of counselor troop. On this basis, it searches and analyzes the main problems existed in the counselor troop building of the vocational colleges and universities. Countermeasures are pertinently proposed to transform the concept, and clear the role location of the counselors; to standardize and improve the counselor troop's selection mechanism in vocational colleges and universities; to establish and perfect the counselors' training mechanisms; to establish an effective incentive mechanism and promote the stable development of counselor troop and so on. |
