"Areal geography" is an important part of Fundamental Education Geography Curriculum,it is not only included in both the junior high school and senior high school geography teaching content,but also has a biggish proportion in the Geography National Matriculation Test(GNMT).The incessant development of new round Geography Fundamental Education Reformation and GNMT Reformation make the proposition technology of test questions involved "areal geography" improving.The test questions are gradually presenting a trend which evaluates the examinees' knowledge and skill, process and methods,sensibilities attitude and values three-dimensional object as the all and the one.How did the material reformation steps incarnate in the test questions involved "areal geography"? How many improving aspects are there in proposition technology of test questions involved "areal geography"? It is necessary to make a study of these issues.The dissertation takes 1996~2007 test questions involved "areal geography" as subject investigated and puts emphasize on the examination content,question-type characteristic,competence aim,grading method of test questions involved "areal geography".This dissertation consists of 4 parts:Chapter 1 deals with "the transformation of examination content of 'areal geography'".Through researching the literature material we discover that "examination content"(the part of "areal geography")of the Geography Examination Precis(Examination Manual)in our country and different provinces appears some "commonnesses" in years of appreciably adjusting.This chapter makes a study of 1999~2007 "examination content("areal geography")" of "Shanghai Examination Manual" and expatiates on the gist,organization structure,change in the examination content of "areal geography".Chapter 2 deals with "the study of question-type characteristic and disadvantage of test questions involved 'areal geography'",which demonstrates that test questions involved "areal geography" examine the examinees' competence emphasizing particularly on capturing implicit information competence,analyzing geography process competence, location-based evaluating competence and exploring questions competence. Chapter 3 deals with "the study of competence aim of test questions involved 'areal geography'",which makes a study of 1996~2007 test questions involved "areal geography" of GNMT,analyses material choice characteristic,question setup characteristic and disadvantage of test questions involved "areal geography".Chapter 4 deals with "the study of key standard and grading method", which uses foreign scholars' "Structure of the Observed Learning Outcome" (SOLO)for reference and brings forward a basic method to evaluate open-ended test questions involved "areal geography" by SOLO,basing on generalizing the open-ended test questions involved "areal geography" characteristic.
