The Cpmparative Analysis Of The Education Of The Art And Physics Major In PE

The developing society is in deed of the compound physical talents. Therefore, the knowledge construction of university students who major in physical education calls for further improvement. The improvement can increase the opportunities of art student who want to major in physical education as well as change the current situation of PE teachers'knowledge construction. Furthermore, it also helps the interaction between art and physics student. Since 2000, Shanghai has allowed both art and physics students to choose PE as their major.Applying the approaches of document-research, interview, statistic-processing, this paper is intended to offer a comparative study of several aspects (scores of different subjects like PE and other normal subjects, learning ability and etc.) between art and physics students. The research subjects are PE students from Grade 2000 to Grade2003 in Shanghai Normal University. Thus the paper aims at revealing the differences, advantages, disadvantages, characteristics of art and physics students. Furthermore, the paper attempts to offer some views on how to cultivate PE graduates and how to choose appropriate students as PE majors.The comparative study focuses on the following two points:1. Whether there are differences in scores of different subjects and learning abilities between art and physics students. Which major (Physical Education or Social PE) is more suitable for them? This discussion may contribute to the adjustment and reforming of the cultivation of PE talents.2. Based on the current policy, this paper argues that the differences should be considered. So the consideration may provide beneficial references for the improvement of the PE majors in university.
