With the quickening educational informationization step, computer technology has been widely introduced into the field of education. Computer-Based Education and multimedia learning display broadly application prospects. Multimedia courseware is a core element of modernized instruction. At present, teaching and learning based multimedia courseware mainly through visual and auditory channels and the former is more important. Multimedia courseware has more visual impact in compared with traditionally instructional means. Improving understanding of the law of visual communication in multimedia courseware is the key of ensuring multimedia learning quality.This research used literature, experience summarization, exemplification and other research methods, which probed into the issue of visual communication in multimedia courseware on the basis of theoretical and practical analysis benefiting from relevant theories of Pedagogy, psychology, communication, industrial design and pointed out the existing problems. Furthermore, the paper discussed the mainly elements about visual communication in multimedia courseware and explored the strategy combining typical cases from three dimensions of goal, idea and operating level.Multimedia courseware has been widely used in various types of schools in China recent years. People have paid much attention to visual communication in multimedia courseware, but there are still several problems existing as follow: 1, laying stress on technology and making light of Ontology; 2, ignoring the role of traditionally instructional Media; 3, disregarding the difference of visual communication in various media; 4, confining instructional tache in classroom to a relatively fixed form and ignoring the initiative of teachers and students.The mainly factors influencing visual communication in Multimedia Courseware involve visual elements, the learner's individual factors and interactive designs of multimedia courseware.This paper put emphases on exploring the strategy of visual communication in multimedia courseware and which discussed the strategy on basis of combining with typical cases from dimensions of visceral design, behavior design and reflective design.
