The development of knowledge-based economy expedites the needs of learning of people, at the same time, modern science and technology, particularly the development of the information technology brings unprecedented convenience to people's learning. In this context, distance learning which based on modern information technology is becoming more and more popular to adults. From the date of birth, distance learning appeared with the learners learning support needs, for the adults distance learners who have shouldered the responsibility of family and the community and have completed the regular full-time education, whether talks on its own characteristics of learning or on the adult-characteristic distance learning obstacles, they need an unique learning support system which consistent with their learning characteristics and the needs of learning support. By the logical starting point, this paper integrates network education, mobile education and face-to-face education to build the all-ones, whole-process, round-the-clock "trinity" adult distance learning support system.The first part of the papers analyzes the concepts of distance learning, adult distance learning, learning support, so as to define the concepts relates to the research of the constructing of "trinity" adult distance learning support systems.The second part of the paper analyzes the principles, objectives, content of the "trinity" adult distance learning support system on the base of defining the concept of "trinity" and shows the vertical and horizontal design process. The principle of "trinity" adult distance learning support systems is to adapt to the characteristics of adult learning and remove obstacles in adult distance learning; the goals of it is to cover each learners (all-ones), throughout the whole learning process (whole-process), available anytime and anywhere (round-the-clock);the content of it is departed to resources support and learning process support; the vertical thread of it is adult distance learning process, the horizontal threads is the support action sequences of the distance learning process in every aspect.The third part of the paper integrates modern information technology to realize the "trinity" adult distance learning support system, with the principles as standardization and the goals as the guidance, and integrates the content into the vertical and horizontal design process. It integrates the advantage of network education, mobile education and face-to-face education to maximize the efficient and quality of adult distance learning.
