| With the development of Life-long learning and construction of learning society, nowadays, distance education is becoming a very important part in national educational system. As an important part of distance education, learning support service is of great importance for students to obtain their self-directed study. The investigative purpose of the article is, by taking the distance education theory as guidance, by analyzing the prominent problems occurring in the current distance education, to find out the inner law and the problem-solving way and accelerate distance education steadily.The main research method adopted in the article is, in collecting and sorting out related materials by checking cultural heritage, investigating society and searching on line, forming the research idea by contrasting, analyzing and summing up the materials to make the research summary. On this basis, I complete the article by gathering and combining the formal research.The highlight view of the article is, firstly from the angle of transaction distance, to melt dialog, structure and learning autonomy appropriately into the construction and running of learning support service, to shorten transaction distance properly and to develop the learning autonomy of students fully. Secondly, to construct and perfect the constituents of service system such as: focusing on the proper deployment of staff and equipment, creating an efficient and rich dialog atmosphere, melting support service into the learning resources and making both virtual and practical dialogs available. In the carrying out of support service, the principle of classification and focusing on inner support is put forward. Combing the inner and outer supports for better support service, and introducing the control and inspection of quality to master the degree of effectiveness and moderation are discussed in the article.The first part in the article summarized the introduction and history of idea and theory of learning support service. It points out several questions existing in the present learning support service system in the practice, such as the lack of sense of service, little support service and support service lacking of depth, power and effective inspection. Hence introduces the thought and research about these questions.The second and the third parts are the illustrations of theory and principle. In the second part, autonomous learning, learning support service and so on are defined. The third part makes a detailed analysis and description about the theory of transaction distance in communication theory. By describing the implication of the theory, the article analyzed the functional relationship among transaction distance and dialogue andstructure, and functional relationship among learning individualization and transaction distance and autonomous learning. Then the article analyses the variable of dialogue and structure in detail, mainly stating the definition of dialogue and structure, the determinant factors affecting dialog and degree of structure, the way to introduce dialog and the structure of instructional procedure. At last it points out the guiding influence of transaction distance on the research of learning support service, that is, considering the students' demand, strengthening the dialogue communication between teachers and students, adopting structural media material to shorten the communication distance and paying attention to the moderation of distance to make students develop their learning autonomy.The fourth part of the article gives an overall presentation about learning support service system. From the definition of system, it generalizes the character of support service system, and defines the support service system in the article, then analyzes the constituents that are students and teachers, source of service and communicating media.
