Teachers'professional development is the trend of the world teacher education development and the orientation of our country's teacher education reform. So,the research based on the aspect is of great importance. During the last two decades, especially in English-speaking countries,a lot of efforts in both theoretical researches and practice have been taken to foster school-based teachers'professional development and they have accumulated plenty of rich experience. The practice shows that whether the school can provide the safeguard for teachers'professional development depends on innovation of the school management. Therefore,there would be no effective teacher professional development without effective school management.Logically, the first part analyses the definition and the background of the teachers'professional development,and then analyses the relationship between school management and teachers'professional development. Thus, to promote teachers'professional development is the inevitable trend of school management. The second part,based on the analysis of the current situation of teachers'professional development at home and abroad,then further analyses the problems and the current situation of the teacher professional development in China which exist in the school management. So,only by innovating school management can we realize the teachers'professional development effectively. The third part,combining with Chinese national condition and foreign experience ,we put forward series of school manage strategies: establishing the common values system;making regulations of teachers specialty behavior;building learning schools;strengthen school-based research;perfecting teacher evaluation mechanism;setting up communication and reflection mechanism.
