Private education is an indispensable part of China's education.The key to improving the quality of private schools is to improve the quality of the teaching staff.The construction of the teaching staff is closely related to the professional development of teachers.The professional development of teachers is inseparable from the professional development management of teachers.The professional development management of teachers is the guarantee for the professional development of teachers.As a pioneer in China's education reform and a leader in the development of teachers,Shanghai has made progress in the professional development and management of private junior high school teachers.It is necessary to study what problems have been solved,what problems still exist,and how to improve them.This study is based on the questionnaire of teacher professional development module in TALIS(Teaching and Learning International Survey).Combined with the practical needs of the study,it investigates the status of teacher professional development in private middle schools in Shanghai,which conducted from three dimensions: the level of teacher professional development,the development of teacher professional activities,and the support and hindrance to teacher professional development Combined with the practical needs of the study,it investigates the current situation of private junior middle school teacher professional development in Shanghai from three dimensions: the level of teacher professional development,the development of teacher professional development activities,and the support and hindrance of teacher professional development.Second,this study takes S school and G school as the case,mainly from the four aspects of teacher professional development planning,teacher professional development organization implementation,teacher professional development incentives,and teacher professional development control,to describe the specific practices in professional development management.Based on the description and analysis of the status quo of teacher professional development and management,this paper believes that the professional development and management of private junior high school teachers in Shanghai have achieved the following successes: teachers have a strong sense of professional development;teachers have a higher sense of teaching effectiveness;private schools enjoy and do business the same training activities as schools;teachers' professional development activities are more abundant;teachers' professional development activities have had a positive impact on teachers' teaching practices.This study finds that the professional development and management of private junior high school teachers in Shanghai still have the following problems: teachers' scientific research ability and information technology application ability need to be improved;teacher professional development content and teacher professional development needs do not match;teacher professional development planning is imperfect or unimplemented;teacher professional development incentive Insufficient;teacher professional development activities and teaching work time conflict;teacher professional development evaluation mechanism is not perfect.In response to the above problems,this paper tries to propose the following countermeasures: attach importance to the cultivation of teachers' professional competence;understand the needs of teachers,provide effective training activities;strengthen the guidance on the professional development planning of school teachers;schools should provide more support for teachers;teacher teaching and professional development time;establish and improve the teacher professional development evaluation mechanism.
