The new round historical course reform of basic education, requires historical teaching to pay attention to students' scientific spirit, and train students' scientific thought, method as well as attitude. So it's necessary to educate students with regard to scientific spirit in nowadays historical teaching.Scientific spirit, which is indispensable to not only individual but also country and nation, is the most beautiful thing coming down in accumulation in human historical development process. Scientific spirit is created in the truth-pursuing course of mankind, contrarily it also directs our truth-pursuing scientifically. Exploring the truth, innovating and creating, enterprise, competition and cooperation, as well as dedication, ect, are all important contents of scientific spirit.However, there exists obvious disadvantage referring to the scientific quality of our country's teenagers, among which the lack of scientific sprit is the results of longtime exam-oriented education and traditional history teaching methods in a way.Scientific sprit is the most effective ideological weapon in the confrontation with all superstition and pseudoscience. Advocating and developing scientific spirit and educating students with regard to scientific spirit is demands of times and important contents in present minor's ideological education, too. Therefore . history teaching in middle school can't stand by with nothing to do. Teachers should participate in this issue actively, make efforts to excavate the materials, improve teaching methods and cultivate students' scientific spirit.The paper describes the necessity of scientific spirit teaching, as well as the methods and ways of scientific spirit teaching in history education. Those problems which exist in nowadays scientific spirit teaching are also analyzed in detail and corresponding Countermeasures are put forward, too. At the same time, the paper discusses the contents and methods of research in middle school history teaching, expecting to offer certain reference to the research and application of the new round historical course reform of basic education.
