| With the promulgation of Compendium of Curriculum Reform of Fundamental Education (trial) ,the new curriculum reform started all over the country. Based upon adapting to students'modern life and future development, and improving of citizens' science literacy for 21 century, the new curriculum reform aims to construct a new curriculum goal system composed of knowledge and skill, process and method, emotion attitude and values, and establish a new curriculum system of senior middle school meeting the needs of students'different development. The chemistry course system in senior middle school has greatly changed. And it presents more and more higher requirements for middle school teachers. In order to adapt to this change, new curriculum training is hold every year, which is particularly for in-service chemistry teachers. Normal universities and comprehensive universities undertake the task to cultivate pre-service teachers, so the curriculum reform in middle school will influence the training planning and training mode to pre-service teachers in normal universities and comprehensive universities.Henan University, a key university in Henan Province ,is a comprehensive university and it also undertakes the task to cultivate pre-service teachers. Since 2006, the author began engaging in the course of Chemistry Pedagogy Experiment for pre-service chemistry teachers. This course is to train and cultivate pre-service teachers'basic skills of engaging in middle school chemistry experiment teaching independently. Skill of chemistry experiment is an important skill that pre-service teachers should master. The acquisition of experiment skills can be divided into three stages: imitation, operation and automation from the view of Psychological Cognition. During the teaching practice, the author found the pre-service chemistry teachers'experiment skill was still on the stage of operation, not automation. By the way, the existing method of experimental evaluation has not played a positive role in experiment evaluation, and can't promote the overall improvement of pre-service teachers'experiment skills, which has became an obstacle in new curriculum implementation. So the author'idea came out and the research began. Under the circumstance of new curriculum reform, which experiment skills pre-service chemistry teachers should master? How to evaluate their experiment skills effectively?The research was based on four theories, such as the evaluation view of new curriculum, the view of all-round chemistry education, the theory of multiple intelligences, and the performance assessment in chemistry teaching. According to chemistry curriculum standard, the chemistry-major standard of undergraduate in common university(draft) and the teaching objectives of Chemistry Pedagogy Experiment, the author established six experiment skills that pre-service teachers should master, such as skill of basic experiment, skill of design and improvement of experiment, skill of demonstrating and explaining of experiment, skill of microscale chemical experiment, skill of carrying out research-based study. Meanwhile, during the course of Chemistry Pedagogy Experiment , the author also did some practical research on evaluation about experiment skills of pre-service chemistry teacher. This evaluation did a good job in their improvement in overall experiment skills. |
