Abstract/Summary:
Participative teaching, a kind of teaching method, is praised highly in the world. It emphasizes learners' experience, cooperating with companions, exchanges, looks for and analyses the way of solving the problem together so as to improve the criticism consciousness and ability of developing independently of the teachers and students. This way tries to make everyone take part in the teaching activity and gives them a chance to express and exchange their ideas, which brings out new ideas and intelligence and improves independent ability and self-confidence. It can also enhance their confidence and ability to change current situation. It has drawn many educators' attention since it was put forward by scholars of our country and has produced a lot of research results during the theory discussion and explanation.This research takes Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province as an example, adopting ways of questionnaire investigation, interview and locale observation to give a way of systematic and deep investigation of the implementation situation of participative teaching in four general universities in Xi'an. Through the analysis of the investigation results, the author summed up some ideas as follows: First, it is necessary to bring the way of participative teaching into effect in general universities. Second, there is certain feasibility to put the way of participative teaching in practice in general universities. Third, general universities still exist some obstacles in the implementation of participative teaching in general universities. Fourth, the way of participative teaching in general universities is still at the attempt stage, and has encountered some difficulties in the implementation process. Fifth, the effect of participative teaching in general universities is good, and the prospect is optimistic. At the end of this paper, on the basis of investigation and analysis, the author explores the reasons why the way of participative teaching has not yet been widely generalized in general universities , and puts forward several suggestions about improving the implementation of participative teaching. Sincerely hope that, through the investigation and study in this paper, it provides some useful reference for the theory and practice of participative teaching.
