| With the advancement of quality education and educational democratization, researchers and school teachers have reached an agreement that modern education should be conducted to promote the rounded development of all students. Education has become a democratic leveler that emphasizes equal opportunity for all the children of the society. As there are disadvantaged students including disabled students, mentally retarded students as well as the students with average intelligence yet suffering from learning deficiency in our modern schools, their learning deficiency has naturally become a heated topic for psychological and educational research. School administrations, teachers as well as the students themselves are deeply concerned about students' academic achievements. The fact that a large proportion of children are learning passively and ineffectively has become a syndrome of educational deficiency, which is listed among the educational issues today.Based on my several years' teaching experience and the result of my previous research, I write this thesis, trying to analyze the typical features of students ' learning deficiency and the causes for that. I will focus on the various influential factors which have resulted in students' learning deficiency, such as student factors, school factors, family factors and society factors. Meanwhile, I will put forward some tentative solutions to the problem of learning deficiency. In order to test and verify these solutions, I have already spent more than one year doing a lot of experiments with the help of my fellow teachers. The results have confirmed the effectiveness of the tentative solutions. |
