Vocational education in our country has developed into the phase of overall improving the teaching quality. It is an urgent and important task to train and cultivate a team of secondary vocational teachers who are professional and high quality. In response to the reform in teacher training, the author did some research and introduced a new training program aiming at multi-specialized secondary vocational school teachers.The study methods for the thesis include case study, interviews and questionnaires. There are three parts in the thesis. The first part is a general introduction of the new teacher-training program. In this part the author explains the background, definition and significance of the new program.In the second part the author describes the program in the following aspects. First, the author provides some relational theories, including types of vocational schools, definition of teaching training, basic requirements for teachers who teach basic courses, and the necessity of taking part in a new training program. The author collected a large number of data from the current training of vocational school teachers in Jilin City. Based on the analysis of these data, the author designed and implemented the program. In this part a detailed description is provided, including the principals, the specific procedures, the curriculum, the requirements for the teachers who are qualified to receive the training, and ways of assessment. In the end, the author discusses the results of the training. In conclusion, the author analyzes both the advantages and disadvantages of the new program. And in the last part the author puts forward several questions for further study.
