Training students the scientific literacy of the new curriculum reform is the fundamental goal. In view of the current scientific basis for the problems in education——the new curriculum standards in training students on the scientific accomplishment only some guidance of the recommendations, but too abstract and general, the lack of operable. This front part of the chemical to start teaching, combining actual teaching middle school chemistry, in middle school chemistry teacher training on the scientific literacy of students investigation and on the basis of analysis, discussion on the study and teaching middle school chemistry students scientific literacy training strategy.This latter part experimental Macheng City High School to a high grade 3,5,12 classes of students as a research object, the total of 270 people.In these three classes of 3,5 classes for the parallel classes.After enrollment, the average distribution.So students are basically the same.The 12 classes based on the number of experimental classes. The 3,12 classes for the experimental group and 5 classes for the control group. The experimental group is implemented the teaching strategies by the teachers to nurture the scientific literacy of students. In the process of teaching and continuous reform and innovation,we encourage students to help each other and mutual exchanges at the same time to facilitate the promotion of scientific literacy.Through a semester of study, we discover that train students conscious of scientific literacy able to significantly improve the academic performance of students. The different levels of secondary school students has obvious difference. Practice has proved that consciously cultivate the students role in promoting scientific literacy is obvious:full mobilization of the enthusiasm of students learning, active classroom learning atmosphere, strengthen communication between the students.And students trained in such areas as capacity-cooperation.This paper is divided into five sections:Chapter I : the connotation of scientific literacy and research status at home and abroad;ChapterII: issues raised;Chapter III: the training in chemistry teaching students the scientific literacy strategy.Focused on teaching in the middle school chemistry, we use the concept of chemical principles of teaching,the chemistry experiment of teaching,chemistry teaching exercises,learning the history of chemistry,chemical extra-curricular activities, chemical research study, chemistry competition to nurture the scientific literacy of students.Chapter IV: the teaching training in the implementation of the strategy research;Chapter V: reconsidering and forecastThe study shows that this issue: teaching in the middle school chemistry, students on the cultivation of scientific accomplishment to improve the overall quality of students,to conducive to the students of an accurate scientific values,to conducive to the formation of students to think scientifically,to conducive to the students correctly understand the relationship between science and society and so on.
