| The teacher community in Henan province during the period of the Republic of China is an important social occupational one. But for today's academia the study on this particular group is still relatively weak, which has an important research value and yet has a wide space for research on it. This essay focuses on the teacher community in Henan province from 1927 to 1937. Through a thorough investigation of the main source of the teachers, their study experience,schools and social activities, wage level,social status and other aspects, I tries to ascertain the actual existence of this community, and further explore its unique characteristics.This article is divided into four sections:The first part mainly discusses the source of the Henan teacher community, the structure and distribution of their academy, especially makes a main inspection of the teachers'origin, gender, and the distribution of urban and rural areas, and further explores the causes for this situation.The second part mainly discusses the school activities of the Henan teacher community, especially focuses on the teachers'teaching and learning environment, teaching methods and efficiency and the interaction between the teachers and the students. And analyses the cause for the prevalence of the party making in schools at all levels and its impact on the teacher community and the education cause ,then further study the new characteristics of the relationship between the teachers and students and the causes which contribute for it.The third part mainly discusses the social activities of the Henan teacher community. Based on the analysis of the teachers'function in the old culture's transformation and the new culture's propaganda, and their active participation in the social,political and economic activities,we mainly discuss the approaches for the teachers to participate in social activities and their impact on social changes in Henan province.The fourth part mainly discusses their wage level and living conditions of the Henan teacher community. Based on the analysis of the wage system the government made for all levels of school teachers and its specific implementation ,we sum up the characteristics of the wages and living conditions of the Henan teachers, and analyze the internal and external reasons for this features, then we further discuss the wages situation's effect not only on the teachers but also on our whole education cause. |
