In our country, the research on the management performance evaluation of the teachers can trace back to the mid 80's of last century. With the experience of more than 20 years, people has already had deeper understanding on the teacher's performance evaluation. Currently, researching and designing the valid college performance management system and evaluation mechanism is a hot problem for the academic circles and other organization to concern. Up to now, our country still no human resource management performance standard and the index valuation system which belong to the national class. Under this background, this paper tries to lead "Criteria for Performance Excellence" into the management performance evaluation system of teachers in college."Criteria for Performance Excellence" originated from the Baldrige national quality award program which American government established in 1987, is a kind of successful management style for the world class organization which United States established after 80's. According to our country's actual situation, Chinese quality association set national quality prize plan in 2001, which equal to adopt American Baldrige standard. With the organization of the national quality bureau in 2003, the Chinese Quality Association and National Standard Institute started upon the research of the national standard. The national standard "Criteria for Performance Excellence" (GB/T19580 - 2004) promulgated and implemented in September in 2004, and it became national quality prize standard from 2005 till now. The standard caused strong echo in the business enterprise and social public after it promulgated, but until now, no man make use of it to study the work performance evaluation system of the teachers in college.This paper adopt the educational standard in the Central America international standard. With the foundation of analyzing the nature of "Criteria for Performance Excellence", seeing through its value, apply the evaluation method concerning the "process" and the "result" in the standard, and put forward the train of thought of management performance evaluation of teachers in college according to "Criteria for Performance Excellence". This paper merging to the reality with my workunit------Guangxi vocational college of technology and business as the case example tostudy how to apply "Criteria for Performance Excellence" in the human resource evaluation system in the college. This paper also inquired the implement principle and step of the performance evaluation system on the base of the "criteria", and put forward the implement suggestion according to the problems the author meet in the practice.This paper leads off to apply "Criteria for Performance Excellence" to evaluate the management performance of teachers in college to raise its performance, to bring up the teacher's troops with high performance, to raise the quality of higher education. This paper has carried on meaningful quest. In the meantime, the paper also lays foundation for the college to go into "Criteria for Performance Excellence" completely, to carry out the strategic target of the college, and to promote its competition ability completely.
