Research On Information Literacy Of Undergraduate Students From Sports Department Among Fujian Higher Instiutes

This paper administrates a sampling research on the present information literacy of undergraduates majored in Sports Department through its three aspects such as information consciousness, information capability and information morality, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methods with the subjects from seven Sports of Education and Society Departments of Fujian Higher Institutes. This research summarizes the major problems and reasons about the information literacy of undergraduates from Sports Higher Institutes of Fujian, and then from the educational theory point of view it briefly elaborates how to promote their information literacy and seeks some solutions as followed .With reference to the complete understanding of information literacy of the undergraduates, this paper proposes some reliable suggestions about how to improve students' information literacy in the Sports Institutes of Fujian.1) The sense of information of RE undergraduates in Fujian province needs improving;2) The information skills of RE majors in Fujian province are not good enough and their abilities to fulfill informative RE;3) The information mortal of RE majors in Fujian province is not good;4) Actions should be taken to improve RE majors' Information Literacy in Fujian province...
