With the development of modern educational technology and the in-depth, widely application of information technology in the domain of education, training postgraduate of educational technology in our country is receiving great attention from society. Therefore, how to train high-quality postgraduates of educational technology and instruction a better training model are the most pressing task at present.Rested on this point, the thesis is a comparative study on educational technology in training postgraduate between China and America.At first, it briefly introduces the history of educational technology of both America and China.Next, it specifically compares American cultivated model with China's in the following respects: subject positioning, admission system, training program and curriculum, training model and educational evaluation.In addition, it concludes by saying that the two countries all have their own characteristics in training postgraduate, and we should learn from American strong points to offset our own weakness; second, it analyses the questionnaire "the assessment of Technical Professionals of educational technologist in universities" in the following respects: different ages, different backgrounds and different occupational groups . It concludes that different groups need different technical professionals; Finally, according to the results of questionnaire analyzed and the comparative above, some feasible suggestions are put forward for fostering postgraduate of educational technology in China. Such as : forming an opening training model, standardizing the training program of postgraduate, forming a diversity of curriculum system, the flexible training methods and assessment.At the same time, we should realize that training postgraduate plays a very important role in educational technology, and it must be assured that being instructional designer, postgraduate of educational technology not only study professional knowledge and fundamental theories, but master practically designing and developing abilities and have creative mind.
