| So far, the optional course has a history of 200 years. In China, it originates in senior high school in 1919. But it was firstly offered as an optional course in 1963. That is to say the optional course offered very late in China. So the compulsory course plays an important role for a long time. The optional course is not paid more attention to not only in theory but also in practice. Till 2003, the educational department issued the new course programs and the standard of each course in senior high school. It makes the optional course get more attention. In"The standard of mathematics course in high school", mathematics is offered as the compulsory course and the optional course. It illustrates the nature, purpose, status and role, etc. clearly and embodies the foundation, choice and development of the contents of mathematics course.The study of this paper generally bases on the theory and practice of math optional course in senior high school. It can be divided into four parts. The first part is question-raising. It concludes the necessity of the study through the background and present situation of math optional course offered in high school. The second part is theoretical analysis. Firstly, it analyzes the compulsory course and the optional course respectively and makes the meaning and relationship of them, the origin and developing tendency of the optional course, the relationship between optional system and special education, and history of the optional course clear. Secondly, it studies the two periods of the optional course, which is the history of it before the new math course standard offered and current situation. The third part is question and thinking. It finds some experience and specific problems existed in the process of enforcement of optional course through experiment in some experimental provinces. Meanwhile, it concludes that the main problem is for teachers. At last, through the experiment result, it puts forward some questions about optional course which the teachers should think. And through one experiment, it tells us that the math teachers in senior high school should face the new challenge. It also helps to train teachers before they take on the job and makes them welcome the reform of the new course very well. The last part is conclusion and prospects. Through the study, we get the result and some questions which need have a further study. |
