Problems And Countermeasures To Cultivate The Learning Ability Of College Students

Nowadays, the knowledge economy evolution is sweeping up the world and the speed of knowledge-renewing is accelerating. In this background, it is more obviously that the knowledge-type talents are taking great effects in the process of society advancement. As the potential main force in the organization of knowledge-type talents, the colleges and universities graduates need to study unceasingly to meet the needs of the society and could be qualified for the competitive occupation when enter into the society. In that case, the learning ability of college students has been increasingly valued. With the rapid progress in nation's modernization, the traditional modes of higher education teaching system emphasized particularly on the knowledge instruction while ignored the cultivation and improvement of the learning ability of college students, which is far from the demand about quality education and the cultivation of university students' innovation quality. Meanwhile, the current higher education is enlarging its scale duratively and the reform of the higher educational mechanism is deepening, the focus work of higher education is shifted from improving the quantity to improving the quality of the whole higher education. On this background, it has become an urgent need to the reform and development for universities and colleges to explore the effective teaching strategies to cultivate the learning ability of college students.This article investigates the hot spot of research on cultivating the learning ability of college students. Firstly, the author clarified the definition of learning ability of college students deeply on the precondition of all-around considering the real situation. Secondly, the author analyzed the situation of college students' learning ability in Finland and America, and summed up the experience of cultivating the learning ability of college students in those countries. Thirdly, the author tried to perfect the countermeasures of cultivating the learning ability of college students from four-aspects: creating a good environment, strengthening the construction of curriculum system, improving the teacher's quality and exploring the development concept of cultivating the college students' learning ability.
