Rhodiola was used in China long long ago.As a kind of traditional medicine and Zang medicine,SHENNONG BENCAO JING described its effect as lighten the body and brighten the eyes. Rhodiola was used in the army to strengthen the soldier and to enhance the battle effectiveness. Medicine research in modern times shows that rhodiola can resist cold, resist anoxic, resist fatigue, resist microwave radicalization,it can also fight against senium and knub, strengthen immunity. Rhodiola is seldom used in sports,in this test I would like to know whether can improve the result in spors by using rhodiola for long-distance running athletes. The change of MDA, SOD, GSH-Px, LDH, AST, ALT can also be observed. It is expected that rhodiola can be used in sports, make the training more scientific and help the athletes to improve the results.The object in this test is 20 male students who are all long-distance running athletes at the level of grade two, national level. The athletes are divided into two groups on average. Group B is given rhodiola liquor while group A is given brown sugar liquor instead of rhodiola liquor in double blindness way. The two group take rhodiola liquor and brown sugar liquor for 10 days and during this period, the students are limited in exercises, just to follow the natural study and the life. The students ride on Monark bicycles for 3 minutes at the power of 50w, then come to the absolute tired exercise mode,that is start form the level of 50w, increase 50w every 3 minutes until the rider is absolutely tired. Test the blood taken both before and after the exercise, show the change of MDA,SOD,GSH-Px,LDH,AST,ALT during this exercise.Note down the change of the heart rate and the exercise time for everyone. Conclusion: Rhodiola liquor has little effect on heart rate. Rhodiola liquor can delay the fatigue in exercise, prolong the time in exercise and enhance the ability in exercise. Rhodiola liquor can reduce the quality of MDA and improve the active of SOD,GSH-Px in blood serum. Rhodiola liquor can reduce LDH in blood serum which will do well for the cardiac muscle and the muscle. Rhodiola liquor can also reduce AST,ALT in blood serum after exercise, and will protect the liver and the cardiac muscle.
