The physical experiment ability is one of emphases which are paid attention to during new curriculum reforms of physics in middle school. The research to the physical experiment ability has being expanded, and the training of physical experiment ability is attached corresponding importance for its especial status. However, through the analysis of practice teaching and educational literature in middle school, we find that physical experiment ability of middle school students has not been fostered and exercised authentically. The purpose of this paper is analyzing the main factors which have influence on the fostering and exercising of middle school students'physical experiment ability, and how to judge their physical experiment ability objectively and equitably by investigating the actuality of the students'physical experiment ability.This article take 6 junior school, 4 high schools' students in Jiangxi Province Taihe County for testees, and schemed out experiment ability questionnaire for each grade, taking the paper into three parts : " physical experiment habit questionnaire", "physics experiment knowledge exam "," physics experiment craftsmanship exam ",and also offering corresponding standard. By inquisition and analyse contrastively, I find that the testees have low physical experiment ability, and this is put up by the following: (1) They can master basal experiment knowledge and means, but can't exert them nimbly;(2) They can operate apparatus, but can't design experiment well;(3) They have not formed religious scientific attitude and favorable experiment habits. At the same time, this paper has also designed " middle-school physics teachers experiment teaching questionnaire", " middle-school students physics experiment questionnaire ", investigating the physics experiment teaching and the expansion of experiment in class and in extracurricular hour. Then, this paper analyzes the main cause of above complexion, and on the base of it brings forward dynamic evaluation method, establishes corresponding estimate system.At last, the paper makes the conclusion: the main cause of middle school students'low physics experiment ability is the lack of dynamic evaluation besides petrifaction of experiment teaching mode and weak responsibility of teacher. At the same time, the author expresses the expectation and advice, also the paper's deficiency and farther research direction.
