Examination is always used as an important way of school evaluation and selectionsince ancient times. It draws all attentions of schools, teachers, students and any otherfields. As the development of the new curriculum reform, the reform on examination, theimportant part of curriculum evaluation reform, has been more and more popular.However, many phenomena exist that disobey the regularity in basic education, such aspursuit of high score blindly and teaching for examination only; Some examinationmaterials are completely separated from the real life. The ways of examination only focuson paper examination which stresses on basic knowledge and scores, neglecting oral test,experiments and those which can test students'ability of knowledge application and studyexperience. That limits the students'ability of practice and creation and influences bothstudents and school development. So, exploring the regularity of examination in basiceducation can propose a profound meaning and practical value. Analyzing the regularityof examination in basic education from the angles of educational measurement, pedagogyand psychology, this paper aims to establish the correct concept, reasonable institutionand scientific ways of examination which even can exert a great influence on thiscurriculum evaluation reform.
