In the advancement of higher education, the insufficiency in university faculty is seriously endangering the quality of cultivating the talents. In this case, the teachers who take teaching as a part-time job in university are to be an indispensable troop in our higher education .As they come from various careers, their join both enriches and strengthens teacher troop of higher education. It is necessary to hire them to deliver classes so as to meet the needs of training students' major skills .In addition to that, it is beneficial to build up the teacher troop as well as decrease the cost, what's more, enhance the efficiency of the high education. During the climacteric period, great changes has taken place on the core meaning of part-time faculty, in that it not only spans the kinds and types of the universities but also breaks out the traditional ways of teacher selecting. Things result in consist of varied models and bases to cultivate talents, especially many kinks of ways to hire or to be hired. However, compared with the development of western higher education, we pay such little attention to the management of the part-time faculty that they didn't play their role properly, which partially due to the fact that they were just on the stage not long ago. Therefore, according to the practical needs of our higher education and the experience from the developed countries, there is a need to have a deep analysis and study on them , as well as the management of part-time faculty in university, which is of great importance for part-time faculty to play their roles to put forward the development of our higher education.Taking the jumping advancement of popular higher education as the backgrounds, the paper closely revolves the condition of part-time faculty in our university, carries on the system analysis and research on the history and the development of part-time faculty both in mainland and abroad. It also gives a large space to state the theories and ways on how to do such research. With the examples from Bejing Universty, Hohai University and Sanjiang College, this paper does the practical study on the ways of how they manage the troop of part-time faculty from different aspects. Based on the above jobs, this paper offers suggestions on the ways where such troop will go and how it will go strategically. The opinions and suggestions this paper provides will be the strong push to improve the management of part-time faculty in our university, which is to speed up the popularity of China higher education undoubtedly.
