| Selective mutism(SM) generally refers to the children, without the listening and speaking and speech organs defects, failure to speak in specific situations, whereas speaking freely in other situations. From 1980s, foreign researchers began to study the SM and acquired plentiful and substantial outcomes in etiology and interventions, but they failed to offer the methods to testify the validity of the interventions. Recently, the researchers in our country began to follow interest in SM, and acquired certain positive results, but the system researches on SM's educational interventions are very rare.On the base of the analysis of previous study, this study attempted to use quantification methods to research the interventions on the case of SM by ABAB design. We ascertained a SM infant by the special tools, combined with observational method and interview method. Then, basing upon the rebuilding relations and the changing emotions, the teachers, peers and parents, as the operator of the interventions, carried out the play therapy------as the hemi-structure interventions'method-----seven months. In the course of the research, we measured several variables by the Play Observation Scale and others tools. The result of the ABAB experiment and its analysis indicates the interventions achieved remarkable effect.Finally, we offered some suggestions to teachers and parents. |
