With the reformation of education and the professional of teachers, enhances teachers' professional level, especially in rural areas is imperative. In recent years, the state implemented the project of modern distance learning in countryside elementary and middle schools has provided a powerful platform for this subject. The author took this as a breakthrough to seek the use of distance learning resources which is to promote an effective way for teachers' professional development in countryside, and also to provide relevant information for teachers' professional development in rural areas in future.The author in line with the principle of efficiency in the use of distance learning resources, emphatically carried on the investigational study and thinking to the teachers' professional development from multiple perspectives of countryside elementary and middle schools in our province. This study is divided into five parts :The first part, introduction. Elaborated the background, present situation, goal, significance and method of the study, then carried on the analysis to the feasibility of this study.The second part, literature summary. Mainly gave the correlation concept of the resources, the distance learning resources and teachers' professional from the theoretical level , and made the elaboration to the connotation and characteristic to the teachers' professional, and in this way to develop a deeper understanding and mastering to distance learning resources and teachers' professional.The third part, quantification analysis. According to the investigational statistics in several countryside elementary and middle schools in Gansu Province, the author combed the reasons and revealed the root of the problem.The fourth part, countermeasure suggestion. Emphasized the distance learning resources which is combined with superiority of schools, proposed developing the school-based training, establishing Learning Community and Reflection in action as the preliminary exploration to promote the teachers' professional development in countryside by using the distance learning resources.The fifth part, inductional summary. Summarized the conclusion of the study, Proposed the reflection and the direction of the further study .
