An Exploration Of Generation Fertility Desire On Community Immigration

Over twenty years, the dualistic system between city and village is gradually smashing and the population of migration is growing with the deep implementation of reform, the fast development of economy and the quick pace of social change. The immigration plays a very important role in the development of urban and rural economy. However, the inburst of mass migration bring great pressure on the management of urban society, especially their reproduction. Thus, the problem of migration procreation has drawn much attention of academe. Scholars make a great deal of researches about this, which mainly on the present situation of migration procreation, the impact of movement on their fertility desire, fertility behavior & birth rate.Fertility is the basic factor in the behavior of bearing parent. The study of immigration fertility desire is propitious to understand status and relating factors. The result can be used to strengthen the management of immigration procreation and accelerate the change of their fertility desire and fertility behavior. The thesis conducts a demonstration study of migration fertility desire by the sampling investigation in the Luo Nan Street, Wuhan City, hoping to find some methods in the management of immigration procreation.Immigration comes from rural areas but they work and live in the urban areas. With the development of social economy, the improvement of living standards and the implementation of family planning, migration fertility desire is changing. The distinct status makes the desire different. It's a kind of status between rural traditional desire and modern city desire. Meanwhile the fertility desire by age is different but also coherent. The thesis will discuss from the angel of acculturation. When the migration comes from rural areas, their traditional thoughts on fertility conflict and introject with the urban modern fertility culture. During the process two kinds of ideas learn from each other and make effects on each other. Therefore the fertility desire of immigration presents the character of both traditional and modern aspects. The immigration in different ages also has different fertility desire because of the different social background that brings the difference in speed and deep.On the base of immigration fertility desire study the modernization of fertility ideas is fundamental in the management of immigration procreation. As a result, some measures must be done. First, family planning policy must be broadly spread and the family planning service for migration must be strengthened. Second, Social security system for migration must be perfected so that the migration has nothing to worry about. Third, the system of Hukou must be reformed as soon as possible to eliminate the difference between city and village. It can alter immigration's procreation behavior by creating an atmosphere for them to adapt city life and facilitate their change of fertility desire.
