Moral Education in China has been using the explicit education as the dominant way. As the social environment has become extremely complicated, and the factors of the influence on university students are also very diverse, moral education in college that relys only on dominant forms such as moral education courses is obviously not enough. Attention must also be given to the other various factors to exerting moral influence on students, and so to improve the effectiveness of moral education, to make students to form the thought ideas, politics views, and ethics which answer for the desire of the society development. This involves implicit moral education.College hidden moral education is the form of moral education that educators according to certain social and moral purpose, and the characteristics of college students, consciously make use of the college hidden various elements or the content of education to impact on students indirectly. By this way the college students can get experience of moral sensibility and moral volition with unconscious and non-specific mental reaction.This paper under the guidance of the spirit of some important documents, such as the CPC Central Committee on strengthening and improving ideological and political education of college students, comprehensively uses the knowledge of ideological and political education, moral science, pedagogy, and other related discipline theories to discuss this new problem-- systematically. The full text is divided into four parts: the first part, on the basis of clearly defining the college hidden moral education analysis the features of the hidden moral education, for example it is potential, natural and gradual. The second part, analyses the various representation forms of the college hidden moral education and elucidate on its function: hidden moral education can full cover with the college students' living space, multi-faceted impact on students' thinking and behavior; hidden moral education can effectively eliminate the students' adverse psychology to actualize the unification of the education and self-education; hidden moral education can effectively complement and strengthen the dominant moral education, and strengthen the effectiveness of moral education. The third part, discusses the importance of the hidden moral education in college. Actualizing hidden moral education in college is the need to follow the moral law of the formation and development of moral conduct; and the need to develop the main moral education; and also the need to be seasoned with the students' self- awareness growing. Part IV discusses a number of measures how to play the function of the college hidden moral education, such as: update the moral educators' concepts to strengthen their consciousness to actualize the hidden moral education; enhance the educators' comprehensive diathesis to exert the function of the hidden moral education better; fully develop and utilize the hidden moral resources; actualize explicit and hidden moral education organic integration to achieve two complementary strengths, and strive to improve the effectiveness of moral education in college.
