So strengthening teachers' improvement is the fundamental policy of rejuvenating China with science and education.The teachers must process some professional literacy.So the Geography teachers' good professional literacy and noble personality ensure the students good Geography literacy,qualified citizens of global village and talents with good comprehensive literacy.Besides, it is the base of advancing Geographical course reform smoothly.The Geography literacy is not only an important part of comprehensive literacy of the citizens but also essential literacy for modern citizens.And it is relative to the development of citizens and the progress of the whole socity.Therefore,cultivating Geography literacy of the citizens needs the Geography teachers to take their responsibility.At present, all of the Geography teachers are needed to advance the new Geographical course reform.What's more,a number of expert Geography teachers are requried to take part in it in practice and in the education theory.Therefore, learning about literacy structure of the expert Geography teachers,and researching the way to cultivate this kind of teachers are significant for their development.The article is made up of two parts.based on the comments made by the experts in education from home to abroad, the former compares the new Geography teachers with expert ones.Besides,the part gives a definition of the intension of expert Geography teachers, makes out the model of expert Geography teachers literacy structure,and states that the good comprehensive literacy is necessary for Geography educators to become expert Geography teachers.Based on the former, the latter concludes the medal and the way to cultivate expert Geography teachers. That is ,first, optimize the humane enviroment, which is the external motivation for the growth of teachers.Second, set a goal that they must become expert Geography teachers, which is the internal motivation. Excellent Geography teachers are surely able to construct better comprehensive literacy structure and become expert Geography teachers by learning ,thinking,researching ,writing and teaching.
