based on the concerned theories, the actualities of university physical education in WuHan are analyzed and explored theoretically and practically from various angles of pedagogy, physical education, sociology and psychology to find out the advantages and deficiencies in the progress of university physical education reform.First, the theoretical aspect. After fully comprehended the present condition and progress of physical education reform in university, I analyzed and summarized the final object and task of university physical education teaching; analyzed thoroughly the significance of curriculum arrangement and teaching mode in realizing the final object of university physical education and raised the final object of university physical education: put the concept sports for life into practice; cultivate the students' love of physical exercises and train them to be skillful in it. All those are aimed to serve the students' physical and psychological health for life.Next, the practical aspect. Learn of the students' suggestions and advice for present university physical education via questionnaire. What's more, the questionnaire can truly reflect the students' needs for physical education, thus according to which we could judge precisely whether the present university physical education meet the students' physical need. That is to say, we could judge precisely whether the present university physical education could put the concept sports for life into practice and serve the students' physical and psychological health for life.At last, from the angles of teaching guidelines, curriculum arrangement, teaching mode, teaching method and teaching assessment, I concluded that university physical education should be guided by the concept "health is the first importance", "sports for life" on the basis of theories and studies of questionnaire. Besides, I conclude that the university physical education should be open out of the stereotype, be various out of the monotony, be lifelong out of the time limit. Furthermore, how to reform the university physical education to accommodate it to the need of the developing times, especially to the need of contemporary university students.
