Chemistry curriculum is the part content choosing from the chemistry science,and gives it processing arrangement in according to the school curriculum system.Chemistry curriculum idea refers to human beings' rational understanding and idealpursuit as well as ideological system concerning the curriculum.Since the reform and open policy, the Ministry of Education has revised themiddle school chemistry teaching syllabus (curriculum standard) several times.Under the education development background, we can see chemistry curriculumideas transformation from the change of the chemistry teaching syllabus (curriculumstandard); during restoration period (1,977-1,985), chemistry curriculum goal ismainly "to cause the student to grasp the chemical fundamentals knowledge and thebasic skill reliably, systematically"; In the reform period (1,985-2,000), the primarymission is "not only to cause students to grasp the chemical fundamental knowledgeand the basic skill reliably and systematically, but also to raise and develop thestudents' observation ability, thinking ability, the experimental ability gradually, andthe ability to study independently etc."; during the new curriculum period (2,000-),to enhance the 21st century citizens' scientific literacy, and make students adapt themodern life and meet the future need to develop. Chemistry curriculum will focus onconstructing high school chemistry curriculum target system, which consists of "theknowledge and the skill", "the process and the method", "the emotion manner andthe values". The formation of contemporary chemistry curriculum views is notbaseless, but has its historical inevitability of evolution and development, and is theinevitable product of the times' development and the society requirements.During the procession of practice, the new chemistry curriculum faces two bigdifficult problems, that is, transforming the teachers' ideas fundamentally andestablishing the new, effective curriculum appraisal system. The new curriculum isan open system, which will be supplemented, revised and consummated unceasinglyin practice.
