The dissertation commences its research from the central part of educational system, i.e. school system, and discusses the influence of science-technology development on the educational development from the perspective of system. Based on the revelation that there existed significant transformation of school system due to the tremendous impact of science and technology in the process of its formation and development, as well as on the historical analysis of school system evolvement through the research on types of schools, levels of schools and schooling connections, it elicits the inspiration to our country's current reform of school system.The dissertation consists of four parts.The first part is introduction which reviews the research on the relevant issues. The kernel concept in it is science and technology employed to commentate school system evolvement and the research methods include literature, historical analysis and contrast.The second part is the principal one and, having accomplished the description of research objects and the stipulation on concepts, it expatiates the school system transformation caused by the science-technology development from four aspects: 1, science-technology development prompting the conversion from non-systematical to systematical of vocational and technical education;2,science-technology development conducing the diversification of secondary education and higher education stages;3, science-technology development smashing the confinement in school system evolvement;4, science-technology development facilitating the democracy of school system.Considering the historical facts, the dissertations proposes that the following issues in the current reform of school system should be regarded: enforcement of activeness of school system transformation and emphasis on the vocational and technical education development, rational arrangement of differentiational development of senior high school phase; vigorous expansion of non-standard education and establishment of open school system; cultivation of high level scientific-technological talents to satisfy the requirements of innovation;rational arrangement of multi-level regional distribution in our country centering on the secondary vocational and technological education. The third part is conclusion, in which development trends of modern science-technology are viewed, advancing the standpoint that science and technology is increasingly turning into the decisive power of school system evolvement.The fourth part is addendum. School system diagram of various countries is enclosed.
