Tao Xingzhi And Yan Yangchu's Comparison Of Rural Education Ideas

Tao Xingzhi and Yan Yangchu are not only famous educators in Chinabut also in the world. As the leaders and facilitators of the movement of rural construction in the 1920s, they were against traditional and foreign education. According to Chinese people's reality, they proposed characteristic ideas about rural education and made an important contribution to Chinese education modernization. There are many scholars in academic circles studying their ideas, especially in recent years. Along with society's progress and economical development, a large number of farmers migrated to the cities as a result of our country's urbanization, creating new problems in the countryside. Therefore, many scholars are keen on studying Tao Xingzhi and Yan Yangchu's ideas. In this paper, I try to compare and analyze Tao Xingzhi and Yan Yangchu's ideas. In order to find out the characteristic of two people in the rural education thought and learn from their ideas to get some information about rural education reform and development. It also has the positive practical and instructional significance for "relying on science and education to rejuvenate the nation" and "the construction of the new socialist countryside."This paper mainly states from the background, contents, practice to launch the treatise. 1) The comparison of the background. To compare the background is to analyze the background of the formation of two people in the rural education thought; 2) The comparison of the contents. To compare the contents is to compare the substance of the education, development target, education object, education contents, education place, education method ; 3) The comparison of the practice. To compare the practice is to the process of practice, the way of practice, the corpus of practice, and the means of practice etc. I try to analyze the features of two people in the rural education thought has its realistic meanings by comparison.
