The Inspiration Of Yen Yangchu’s Rural Educational Practical Activities To The Current Fujian Rural Vocational Education

Under the background of accelerating the construction of our new rural areas and our government attaching great importance to the development of vocational education, as the educational base of training technical personnel, how to cultivate trained personnel to adapt to the development of rural economy becomes a problem which needs to be solved urgently in the current rural vocational school. The author read biographies and anthologies about patriotic educator Yen Yangchu and did some research in his long-term implementation of civilian education in rural areas of China and his educational pattern、 teaching methods and school system establishment in rural reconstruction activities. The author investigated the current situation of teachers and students in Fujian secondary vocational schools and rural vocational schools and analyzed objective data of typical schools.The thesis expounds a series of problems faced by the rural vocational education in Fujian Province, such as inaccurate school-running orientation of rural vocational schools-. disassociation between talent training achievement and local industry、lack of open-door schooling strategy、narrow range of educational objects、shortage of professional teachers、obsolete teaching content、neven investment in urban and rural vocational education、backward hardware and software in rural vocational schools. With Yen Yangchu’s Yu Ping church and its successful experience in process of rural civilian education practice for reference, the author proposes that Fujian rural vocational schools should establish the educational policy of running characteristic schools for rural areas、 abuttinging joint industry, enrich school-running pattern and enlarge scope of educational objects. We should adhere to the teaching-oriented principle, set up a group of high-level teachers who know manufacturing, have the technical skills. We should further improve the system of rural vocational education and promote healthy sustainable development of Fujian rural vocational education.
