The IT industry of China has fallen across with bottleneck in its questing of developmental orientation, failing to find its advantage of late-development to compete with foreign IT industry in both traditional software industry and hardware industry. The author in this thesis, from a perspective of "Blue Ocean Strategy", has discussed a successful case of UFIDA in China and advanced thereafter a brand new orientation point of China's IT industry, i.e. collaborative software that joints professional software and general software. The collaborative software, possessing the general software's feature of volume of sales and professional software's feature of amount of profit both, has therefore got its advantage of late development.Based on the orientation point of China's IT industry, this thesis has after a further analysis of conditions for collaborative software's popularity elicited the basic concept of "Tipping Point" and put forward that it's only when the three basic conditions of "Tipping Point"—rallying point, environmental power and profession, bagman—are provided that the popular trend would be on the verge of breaking out. Through argumentation and analysis, the author has in this thesis analyzed the three basic conditions in education industry. Firstly, the author found that the tempo of high institutes has exceeded any other industries and this attainment of soft environment has made the popularity available. Secondly, the high institutes have basically possessed managerial software and they have a sound accumulation of professionalism, however, these software have not realized general utilization. So, collaborative software can make up the blank flat. Lastly, collaborative software of higher education has a low entry barrier and quite a number of talents are piling up the very field, together with some supporting policies, the collaborative software of higher education could be able to be popular large-scalely. So, the collaborative software of higher education could be the "Tipping Point" of collaborative software. The author in this thesis has continued her argumentation that collaborative software has its advantage towards any other software in the aspect of general utilization that it can be widely used among colleges, technical schools and high schools. It has enormous users, low professionalism and low difficulty in applying. These factors are just why we choose collaborative software as "Tipping Point" in IT industry. After the study on the necessity for the exploitation of collaborative software of higher education, the author continued the study on feasibility in the thesis. To ensure the maneuverability of collaborative software, the author in this thesis has by analyzing the demand structure further advanced the design module of system structure and studied interface and algorithm. By this means, the author in this thesis has actualized the concept of collaborative software. This thesis has both theoretical and practical value. In theory, this thesis has for the first time explored the concept of leverage and "Tipping Point" of collaborative software and put forward the developmental direction and basic structure of collaborative software for higher education. In practice, the thesis has provided with feasible tool for high institutes and software operating services to integrate the demand elements of different users and to implement more suitable control measures.
