The 21st century trains the talent with comprehensive ability, and comprehension is one of the basic traits of history in the subject of history. History has close relationship with other subjects, especially geography knowledge. Using geography knowledge is the need to improve the teaching of history, the need to develop the all-rounded education, to heighten the abilities of students, to apply the comprehensive knowledge, the need to foster the students of research willing and ability.Compounding to my own teaching practice, specialty of history subject and the new standard of history curriculum, this paper gives the research to improve the effect of history in middle school using geography knowledge. The paper shows my rough views on this problem, and explains utilizing a great number of facts. Due to the limit of time and ability, the main target is the section of history teaching in the middle school phrase, especially in senior school.The paper is divided into four parts. The first, using geography knowledge of history teaching is necessary in senior school. The second, using geography knowledge of history teaching is the ways and function of using geography knowledge. The third, principle of using geography knowledge is to improve the effect of history teaching in senior school.The fourth, hurry of enhancing the ability of teachers themselves.
